Job DescriptionPrepare and cook to order a variety of foods that require only a short preparation time. May take orders from customers and serve patrons at counters or tables. Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas. Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
Job Information

  • Folding and stocking all boxes, cups, lids, straws, napkins, and etc.
  • Have a firm knowledge of health department rules pertaining to food storage, production, and service in general.
  • Can properly follow recipe and cooking instructions in written form.
  • Maintain the highest standard of customer service at all times
  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
  • Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
  • Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including but not limited to tables, shelves, induction burners, dish machine, mixer, ovens, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Handles, stores and rotates all products properly in accordance with health department standards.
  • Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
  • Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations.
  • Assists others in closing other areas of the restaurant.
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.
